AEGD 1593:  Johnston Memorial Hospital – Foundry

The Foundry Dental Center is the main facility for residents home based out of Alabama.  Southwest Virginia Residents will also make a rotation here to receive sedation training.  This clinic provides residents opportunities in general dental services to underserved populations, IV sedation, didactic education, implant placement and implant restoration.

The clinic is 9,982 square feet with 14 dental operatories.  It has a large training room with audio visual equipment that support more than 20 students, additional meeting space and conference space, a modern laboratory, a break room and Resident work and study areas.  The waiting room has ample space for 30 patients with TV and water. 

The foundation of the Lovelady program is based on the principle that everyone deserves the opportunity for another chance. Indeed for some of our women this is their first chance since they have never known love anywhere else. We meet them where they are and help them make better decisions that take them down a different path, permanently.

It is our mission to help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future. We can give a woman shelter, food, and clothing, but if she cannot support herself and parent her children, the cycle of poverty and incarceration will not be broken.

Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center is one of two the main facilities for clinic and didactic training for residents home based in Southwest Virginia.  The clinic provides opportunities to treat patients in general dentistry to underserved populations with a full range of dental services from general dentistry, restorative, Endodontics and prosthodontics. This clinic is located outside of Abingdon, Virginia.

The clinic 8,000 square foot clinic with 14 new dental operatories. It has a new waiting room, a larger sterilization area, a new resident training room with audio visual equipment, a new laboratory, a kitchen and study areas.

South Holston Dental Designs is one of two the main facilities for clinic and didactic training for residents home based in Southwest Virginia.  The clinic provides opportunities to treat patients with a full range of dental services from general dentistry, restorative, Endodontics and prosthodontics in a private practice setting.  This clinic is located outside of Abingdon, Virginia.

The clinic is 4,505 square feet facility that hosts 9 Dental Chairs, has a conference/training room with audio visual equipment, a modern laboratory, a kitchen and study areas.
